Fingerprint UID Aadhar
Fingerprints are a form of biometric information that can be used for Aadhaar authentication:
- Aadhaar authentication
A process that uses an individual’s Aadhaar number and either biometric information (fingerprint or iris) or demographic information (name, date of birth, gender, etc.)
- Biometric devices
Certified biometric devices must be used for authentication. These devices are registered with the Aadhaar system for encryption key management.
- Biometric locking
A safety feature that prevents biometric authentication. Once enabled, the Aadhaar holder can unlock or disable the system.
- Enrolling for Aadhaar with missing fingers or iris
Aadhaar software can handle missing fingers or iris. A photo of the missing fingers or iris is used for identification, and markers are used to determine uniqueness
